These sleeves are not it unless you're slender.

"Sans the sleeves, the dress is cute. But I think if you are any body type other than a slender girly, these sleeves ruin the proportions. I think if you even have a larger chest, the same would apply. The sleeves are double layered with a loose elastic at the bottom for that bell effect. They have the effect of making me look simultaneously wider and shorter. Size 14 purchased. I also could have sized down to a 12, if you are on the very cusp of the smaller end of the size, size down. I'm just going to get it tailored and have the sleeves altered. The silhouette, material, and embroidery pattern are otherwise very nice. I just hate the sleeves."

"I was so excited for this dress. Put it on and the fabric ripped by a pocket. Its the type of fabric that everything sticks to and tears easily. I only paid $23 on sale so returning it isn't worth it."
