I'm usually a US size 12 (5"6 and 170lbs) and I bought the UK 16 which is still a bit snug in the waist, but the material has some flexibility."

Great Material, But Flawed Stitching
"At first, I had some doubts because the fabric is synthetic. However, the dress turned out to be surprisingly light and pleasant to the touch. It feels comfortable on the skin and fits the body nicely, which I really appreciate. That said, the quality of the stitching leaves much to be desired. In some places, it’s clear that the seams are not very accurately finished. There was even a hole along one of the seams because the fabric had been cut unevenly. I had to sew it myself before even wearing the dress for the first time."
